Vivienne C. André (A.K.A. Fei Fei)

A dancer in her own right, Vivienne completed advanced classical ballet training at the Cecilia Hon Ballet Theatre. Vivienne is a high-caliber dance instructor, currently teaching classical ballet, floor-barre®, hip hop, jazz & contemporary for children and adults.

A highly talented, creative and experienced instructor, Viv is a Registered Teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance. She is the only certified Floor-Barre® instructor in Southeast Asia, and pioneer in teaching Rommett Floor-Barre® in Singapore to help individuals gaining better control of their bodies, recuperate from injuries and enhancing their overall well-being.

Viv has coached budding dancers at kindergarten, primary & secondary school level for many years & choreographed different genres of dance for school event & public performance. She staged pieces from classical ballet repertoires to contemporary dance pieces. Her works Les Chats (The Cats), a 2 acts dance-pantomime, was premiered in Victoria Theatre in 2006, where her original story was written to feature Modern & Ballet dance groups. Viv’s contemporary dance choreographies participating in Singapore Youth Festival has clinched gold & silver awards.

Being a passionate and dedicated dance instructor, Viv’s warm personality, versatility, creativity and expertise in various dance forms has inspired people of all ages to love dancing.

Her adult classes are very danceable, simple with a classic sense of line, placement, musicality, and style. The exercises are not just dance steps, but are anatomically sound and designed to improve the body. All parts of the dancer are exercised to promote harmony of movement according to each individual’s level of training and ability in a non-competitive atmosphere. Vivienne teaches an integrative, fundamental maintenance syllabus for all types of dancers.
